ArtfulLeigh

Just an amazing shoot at the art studio of Leigh Pawling! To be completely honest her talent was intimidating, but her personality and uncommon comfort with herself was exhilarating! She is just the kind of person that you meet that makes you want to be better.... Thank you Leigh for an hour that I will never forget. www.artfulleigh.com

Pop Dukes Stops In for a visit!

Today we had a visit from up-and-coming recording artist "Pop Dukes". Keep an eye out for this Brick City New Jersey artist!

Bridal Expo

The Northeast PA Bridal Expo was this past Sunday and it was a great success! All the "brides-to-be" and even some "grooms-to-be" were fantastic! The day went by in a flash because of all the great conversations and newly formed friendships. Anyway, I really didn't plan on putting anything on the blog about the show and I absolutely never make recommendations, but one of the booths there really stuck out! And before I go any further.... NO I was not that hungry! The Royal Bake Shop in Exeter was at the show and their food was, without question, incredible. From the cakes, cookies, pastries and everything else I sampled.... just amazing! So here I go.... If you need bake goods, for Anything, call them!!!! You really won't be disappointed. 1701 Wyoming Ave Exeter. 570.654.2011

Just a Shot I love

Each time Tara and I work together we produce images that blow me away. There is always that one image that catches your eye and this is just one of them from today. Seniors, it is the perfect time to schedule your senior portrait! The sessions are very relaxed and casual and we are never rushed. Give the studio a call today to schedule an appointment before the spring senior rush! And don't forget to bring your favorite CD to listen to during your session!

Gallery Open!

LCCC had it's new gallery opening last night and it was a very pleasant surprise. The attendance was good considering the weather conditions, and the art, although all print in nature, was very diverse. I have to say that it is a wonderful thing to see the support given to the arts at a community college. I would love to comment on the art, but being a photographer doesn't give me the right or expertise to judge anyones work.

I can say that most of the pieces shown are for sale, priced from arround $200 to a few thousand dollars, there are some works that are worth a look. Well, yes I did leave out two pieces that are priced somewhere in the mid $20,000 range, but after seeing the pieces, and finding out that they were done by one of the school's instructors, I am guessing this was a typo. Can't imagine anyone being that arrogant, to place and price pieces among their very own students' work (which almost all out-shined these works) in an attempt to distinguish themselves as a superior talent on price alone.

I will say it was a great feeling seeing Tara's two pieces hanging in the gallery. Without prejudice, her work clearly stands out in the gallery. Although I did see the work prior to the gallery visit, it was easy locating the work the second you entered the doors - The only cluster of people in the gallery when we entered was at Tara's work. Not to mention the presentation framing and the work itself! But I will let you be the judge.... go see the gallery!
